I'm looking for software that will allow me to take 3500 jpg images from my computer and create a seperate html page for each image. I need to be able to create a generic template for each page, but, I also need some kind of a TAG where I can insert the image name where needed in the generic template. Also, would need a hyperlinked index page to each of the image pages.

Does anyone know of any such software?

So far, I have found several album type programs that will allow me to do everything except insert the name of the image in each file. Basically, I don't want to have to open each of the 3500 resulting pages and type in the image name on each page.

Photoshop from version 5.5 on has a "web photo gallery" command that automatically does this.

If you don't want to spend that much money Photshop Elements (v2.0) has a similar feature.

Also there is one called B-Zone gallery wizard (freeware) that you may want to try out.

I use the web photo gallery feature in Photoshop quite a bit. Afterwards I usually end up having to edit all the pages manually afterwards to put descriptions in and change the titles.

Thanks.

TIMCHUMA...

Thanks for the info. I will take a look at them.

I'm trying to avoid having to go back in later and edit each page, since I have 3500 images now and will have 40,000 when finished. It wouldn't be a problem if each page had the same text, but I will need the name of each picture in front of the common text. So far, all of the album software packages I have tried, will put the name of the image on the page, but, not in conjunction with my common text. I need to be able to insert the name of the file wherever I need it in my common text with some kind of a tag. Something like this:

Image name = BLACKTAIL DEER

Template Text:

This is a <IMAGE>. We have a high quality and a low quality version of this <IMAGE>. Please click on the link below to purchase a downloadable verion of this <IMAGE> stock photo.

The software I'm looking for would automatically take the name of each of my images and make a separate HTML page for each image, and insert the file name into the <IMAGE> tag for each JPG file in my directory.

I'm hoping some of the ideas you gave me will work.

thanks.

TIMCHUMA, your a genious.

The B-Zone gallery wizard was just what I was looking for. Simple to use, and exactly what I needed.

I can't thank you enough.

The only thing I couldn't get it to do was leave the .JPG off of the file name. But, I can easily edit that out with a Batch html editor that I have, since it's the same text for every html file. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect. I'm just so darn happy.

Ok, next big question...

Anyone know of software that can convert CORELDRAW VERSION 10 files to JPG images?

I can find several that will work with Corel Version 7.0 and lower, but none for Version 10.

I have 40,000 .CDR files that need to be turned into .JPG files.

Any ideas?

I will also start another thread.
