I have a gradient bar in fireworks, it looks perfect as a png. But when I export it, either as an image or html and image, it gets "blotchy" Is there a way to change the .gif format to jpg?
Any other ideas on how to correct it?

In EXPORT PREVIEW you can choose the file format. For gradients you definitely need jpegs, gifs won't work.

Thanks yowza, that worked great. Another question for you, I keep getting "error" messages saying the file already exists when I go to preview and/or export it. I have changed the options but still get the message. Any ideas? I am using MX2004

Hi,
You can fix this issue by giving 1.5% noise on the image...after that if you save the image as gif, it dosent give the "blotchy" look. Even if you do 16 colors optimization also.
