So what do people consider yesterday's news when it comes to general site design/look? Are you tired of seeing fish-eye pictures of people from above? If so, what else?

Tables used for layout (if only little Timmy had enough time to sort those stylesheets out straight away, which is what he intended.)
Designers using micro-fonts
Designers using fonts that can't scale relatively.
Designers not caring about accesibility, just what looks cool.
Designers treating the web like it's print, and not using it for what it really is.
Spacer gifs
Catering for only one browser
Flash
"Ice" websites
Verdana
People not setting a background colour for their website when they want it be white, forgetting the configured background colour for some browsers isn't white.
It all depends on what part of the 90's you're talking about. A year in the real world is like several years in the IT world. Also, the WWW is relatively new.
Anybody remember email campaigns? They belong on this list in about three months minus a political miracle.
Email campaigns have their place, but not in this list.
