I am getting people contact me a saying that images are not loading on my page. Though investigating I have found that they are using IE6 and that there is a bug built in,(its working on all platforms expect IE6 & XP)

I have tried searching around there is a hotfix on Microsoft site but I could do with it being fixed at my end rather than wait for people to upload a fix.

Does anyone know anything about this, and could shed some light on the situation? Or point me in the right direction to a fix?

Thanks

I am using IE6 and XP, the site looked wonderful. Is there any thing I need to do (change settings) to stimulate your problem?

Thats the problem really it only appears on certain machines, I am on Win2000 and there is not a problem but move onto XP and the first time you load the page there are no images on the screen but you can click on show image and it appears.

Extremely Weird and Frustrating

Sorry, I don't understand-- are you saying Microsoft provides a patch, but doesn't indicate what the patch is for?

Sorry for the confusion

That what I was lead to believe from somebody in a forum who was having the same problem but he didn't point out where the patch was!

I had the same problem on two different computers. Is it small graphics that are repeated on the page?

Try running a spyware removal tool and get rid of everything that shouldn't be there. That solved it on both counts for me.

Hi

I have encountered a similar problem but with incomplete page loads.

I run Win 2K and IE6 on my Desktop and my Laptop. Both run IIS. Viewing the same pages locally will produce error free results on the Desktop but the laptop stops reading the code randomly and the page shows as incomplete.

Running the same pages live from the web will give perfect results on both machines.

I also have a client who reports the same incomplete loading of certain pages on his WinXP machine when live from the web. He is also using IE6

Is this a bug perhaps? Both of my machines use the same IE version and updates, the op sys version updates are also the same so why one and not the other?

Regards
Colin
