I have an image a client has given me which was created with Macromedia Freehand. I need to save this as an EPS image for the printers.

What is the best way to do this without losing any data?

Thanks

One of the ways to save a freehand file is an EPS. People who use Freehand usually save this way since it is a good standard. I would get them to save it as an EPS and resend it.

Yup! I would also make sure that they convert all fonts to outlines before sending it.

P.S. I believe .eps is the native file format for Freehand.

Thanks korkus and p.o.r.

I will ask them to do that, am not sure why they did not do it in the first place.

I have noticed that I can export the file to an EPS but when I presume that would result in losses of data etc (such as font) would it?

>> loss of data

it shouldnt lose any data - i would just give it a try and compare the eps with the original.
