photoshop 7 how do you tidy the edges with a clipart image plz.

What do you mean by tidy? Are you just looking to crop the image(cut off the unneeded parts of the picture)?

i have a clipart image and i wondering if you could smooth the jagged edges. and just make the clipart look much better

You could use the selection tool around the image that you want to stay. Then invert the selection. Next put a feather on the selection. Then just press delete. This will give you a fade out effect. You could also just use the eraser top erase the image you don't want. If you want a hard edge just make a selection of the image you want to keep and use crop.
