Can someone tell me how in photoshop 6 I can create a box / border graphic which is dashed to look like the Rectangular Marquee Tool for example.

Of the top of my head - make a non-solid square w/the square tool, then erase sections with a square eraser - line up your erase points with the ruler.

mmmmm.....I'm always reluctant to use a long and tedious method. Computers are supposed to save time. This is too near to drawing it out on paper and scanning it in. Are they any other methods (shorter preferably).

If you search in Google groups for Photoshop group, then search in that for dashed (or dotted stroke) you will get many answers.
