Syncing display of web pages to sound file

Hi all

Amidst the Google mayhem, I wonder if anyone can recall having to sync the display of a series of web pages to a sound file.

In this thread [webmasterworld.com] I asked about targeting frames using metadata in sound files but I'm pretty convinced this is not possible now. So, any ideas?

I've experimented with Flash, which is looking promising, but the only technique I've come up with so far doesn't stream the audio, which would be best.

I basically have a bunch of PowerPoint type web pages and I need to display them at key points in an accompanying commentary track.

I've been trying to sort this for far too long so any suggestions would really be appreciated.
