Example: Let's assume a daily budget of $10, and an AdWords membership time starting at Jan 1st 2006. If I log into AdWords my total would be 5 x 30 x 10$ = 1500$ + 21 * 10$ = 1710$. That is a confirmed value which I could enter into the settlement form. However, I could wait until August 4 - the last day of the settlement period. Then my calculcation would be: 7 x 30 x 10$ = 2100$ + 4 * 10$ = 2140$.
That's a difference of 430$ only depending on the date at which I enter my numbers!
So, how do you folks deal with it? Playing for saftey and entering the numbers early. Risking server outages but waiting until the last day? Or estimating number for August 4?
For the reason PMKPMK stated ("If you purchased online advertising from Google between January 1, 2002 and the present") and because of the scheduled approval hearing not yet being in place, I'm going to wait until July 26th to fill out my claims.
I operate and manage too many accounts to waste my time entering all this data now to have it later ignored if not approved or truncated in amount due to their haphazard definition ("present") of the class period.
If the approval hearing gets postponed, I'll enter my data anyhow to beat the August 4th deadline (but will watch for the deadline to be extended if the approval hearing is delayed).
Procrastination appears to be the best approach here, in my opinion.
The thing I don't understand is the settlement agreement does not specify what is and how one is supposed to calculate "click fraud". So how is one supposed to calculate much less certify this amount? In any case, could'nt Google just dispute all or part of whatever amount you submit and not credit you all or part of it?

They certainly could, which is one of the problems with this settlement.
