Content network review process is horrible!

Do they show when the content review took place?

I have never received an email when they reviewed my site for their content network, seems like you have to guess when it happens.

Would be good if they add something like "content review pending" or "content review completed on ... time" or at least send an email to the webmaster.

Maybe I'm blind and don't see it?

Did you mean to post this in the Adsense forum?

If it were only this... but many times you add keywords and wait to see traffic for them - but nothing. They seem aaproved, everything ok. After burning your brain, you finally ask G what's going on - they say that keywords were flagged, or the account was under review - but no note...
This lack of transparency is the biggest problem, and everybody seem to have a problem with that - except G (!)

mike_ppc: Yes there is no transparency with their reviews. I also had keywords approved where there should be thousands of uniques daily, but got no traffic at all. Is it really so hard for the reviewers to add a review time to the system?

Whenever I start up a new Content campaign, or a site targeted campaign, I drop a note to AdWords Support and specifically ask for a review - I *always* get a note back (almost immediately) that they are expediting my review, and usually it's up and live within an hour or two. I found this to be the most expeditious way to go about it after waiting hours and sometimes days for Google to stumble upon my new campaign and review it. I don't think they necessarily see it quickly unless you point it out to them (I have heard that they are woefully understaffed) Try it and see if it works for you as well.

[rant mode]I know this is a much discussed topic on here....but I think it's a crazy process! :)
My ads weren't showing so I contacted one of the online advisors who had absolutely no clue and said my account was fine and he'd escalate it. First off, I get an email answering a question which was great....only it's not anything even close to what I asked! So I write back and three days later, I get an email saying that some of my ads were 'in review' which is why they weren't showing. And no, they can't tell me what ads or keywords were in review or how long the review process was going to take. And everything is manually checked, so every time I make a change, I'm going to have to wait for their 'manual review process'. The crazy thing is that the ads WERE working for a couple of days, and then suddenly got turned off. It took google five days to review the ads. And AFAIK (unless someone can correct me?) there's nothing in your account to say what ads are OK and what ads are 'under review'.

I'm really surprised that such a big technology company still manually reviews these things and takes so long to do it and that they don't have some sort of flag on the main user account page. Do they not want my money? I have a fairly big budget yet they don't seem to want to take my money!

[/rant mode]

Having said that, I think every other search engine I've tried has been just as bad....c'est la vie I guess! Everything (*touch wood*) seems to be running tonight :)

Anyway, I'm a long time lurker, first-time poster so please don't shoot me down too much! :) I just needed to let off steam :)

Well, it's a matter of waiting and letting G know about your ads.

I contacted them via chat on Monday, about some ads I had added on Saturday, they told me to wait a couple of business days. Ok, then that would have been Tuesday or Wednesday.

I sent a email yesterday, Wednesday and got a reply telling me the review took at least 48 hours. It's Thursday and my site targeted ads are not running yet.

I haven't changed anything on these ads since Saturday when I created them.

I agree, it seems G has not enough people for these manual reviews.

Regards!

There should be some sort of "Trust Setting" for advertisers, where a review process is not necessary and the ads go live in real-time!
