AdWord Not Showing up

Too low a daily limit

I created an adword ad for a single keyword, but it is not showing up consistently on google. I use the suggested cpc and daily maximum. There is no adword competition for the keyword (company name) First day click throughs used up 50% of the daily maximum. Should I increase the maximum?

Since Google regulates your impressions so you don't eat up your budget in a matter of a few hours, most likely your ad was not appearing due to the fact you were spending a good % of your daily budget. So, I would go ahead and increase your daily spend only if it fits within your budget (but keep your max bid the same). By doing this you will probably see your ad appearing more consistently.
