Are Google adwords edited by humans or what!

Grrrrr

Having only recently set up a Google Adwords campaign, which by the way is already running very successfully thanks to all the tips on here, I am getting fed up with the editors who decide whether the contents of my ads are ok.

Firstly they prevented me from using a pun because they said it was a misspelling;

Bollywood cool is all the Raj! (suggest using 'rage' instead)

And now they are not letting me use Garden Boules as they belive 'boules' could be offensive to some of their users!

Anybody else got similar stories and are there any ways around them?

Once they didn't approve my ad for days (I think), so I wrote an email then they approved it. These days I get them published instantly, seemingly without "human intervention".

A problem since I have a Google Blog is that I can't use the word "Google" anywhere in the ad-text. Workaround: I wrote "Googlosophy". Even though I can target the keyword "Google", there's no high-light of it now in my ad.

You can always appeal. Sometimes they will listen and reverse a decision.

In this case, they will reverse the decision. Explain that your ad was targeted at an audience that understands the line.
