"Buy Blue Widget" or "Blue Widgetizer for Sale"
These types of phrases sound so profitable, that I would love to use them in Adwords. However, according to Wordtracker and Overture's bid tool, they are searched for no more than say 50 times a day, and # of clicks per day would be < 0.1
Are these keywords/phrases still worth including into my Adword campaigns (long term)?
If I do add these into my campaign, can there be any repercussions? (i.e., Google immediately disables them?)
Any advice would be much appreciated! :)
If you can find several hundred of these phrases and can keep the CTR up without google cancelling them - Then you can overcome the low search rate for each individual phrase.
I went ahead and created about 5 specific landing pages for the widget I'm marketing. The keywords I used were broad matched, but still very targeted (3-4 words) towards interested customers only.
Here's what happened:
- Incredibly high click-through rates (with a good number of impressions - which shocked me).
- My CPC has gone down dramatically.
- I've got a conversion rate that is sky high. In fact, for a few of the landing pages, I made a sale within the first two clicks of each page (some were on the very first click).
This is in comparison to a test I ran on a more broad keyword base. These didn't convert at all. Now that I used specific and targeted phrases, the money is rolling in.
I'm now building more landing pages for different types of this widget, and am going to try to apply the same process I went through.
Thanks again for your help!
I hope they don't suspend on traffic, but on total CTR. It wouldn't really surprise me though.
