Adwords Scams

Anyone been approached?

We've been contacted by a UK company saying that they "guarantee us page 1 G listings via Adwords".

"Cost = £600 PCM for these keywords on google"

5 KWs, very competitive.
Note the "PCM" - is that a sneaky way of writing CPM like I think it is?

Any clues as to what they're talking about?

normally pcm means per calendar month or per coming month

I suppose you pay the 12 X £600 - they pay google once!

(I normally use "pcm" myself!) Forgive my stupidity.

So assuming they charge £600 pcm, how can they guarantee first page spots every day for a month when we're already paying £600 per day for these competitive terms?

Do they mention how long they guarantee page 1 listings for...perhaps they have a clause guaranteeing only 1 minute per day? ;)

Maximum bid is USD30 on AdWords, so for GBP20 per day (USD33) they can easily be in rotation for #1 position even with no CTR history on the creative.

"We guarantee first page spots every day for a month"

Just 1 impression in position 8 per day would satisfy that claim :)
