New campaigns don't get impressions

For the past 3 days I have started 3 new campaigns.
Up to now they received zero impressions. The existing campaigns are fine. Anyone else having the same problem lately?

I found that I had to significantly increase CPC before they would start to show and then drop it off to a reasonable level afterwards.

I'm having the same problem... I started 2 new campaigns and all the impressions on all of my campaigns basically stopped. I'm targetting the content network with relatively low bids.

I've heard rumors that new adwords campaigns in competitive fields suffer their own 'sandbox' affect where they don't just drop in where you'd expect them to..... maybe the solution is to blast the bid price as ferraristi suggests until they can't resist your bid price?

I've tried that, it really has nothing to do with the price IMO. I emailed them about it a few days ago for another campaign (before I caught on) and as soon as I got a reply via email the campaign was working again as normal even with "regular" bid prices. But, the problem is, if they are going to be manually approving things behind the scenes, after it is automatically approved by the system, then they should at least let us know so we are not sending multiple emails and getting all worried about it. :/

Just as an experiment, I have raised my cpc in one campaign from 0,20 to 2,00. Now I am getting impressions galore! Better be careful with this...

I'm experiencing the same thing, adding keywords which do not display in the usual short time frame.

Last Friday I added some new keywords and it took around 6 hours for some of them to become active. Not all did, only some.

Seems to me that they are manually approving ads behind the scenes.

Ah google, don't ya love it! :)

the adwords must be approved these days, I have noticed this in setting up new campaigns in competitive areas, I have found calling G to get the campaign approved quickly tends to work the best
