I've heard conflicting stories about using adwords on the road from a pocket pc.

I've heard that it's hard to get into the google site.
That the login page doesn't show up on internet explorer browser.

I travel a lot and don't want to have to lug around my laptop if possible.

You gotta believe someone's created something to allow for this. If I walked into OfficeDepot and saw a software package that allowed me to easily access and manage AdWords from my Treo, I'd buy it yesterday.

I used to be able to using the "Netfront" PPC browser until about 2 months ago. I'm not sure if google changed their security or what, but I haven't been able to in awhile. Granted, I haven't really tried figuring out what caused it. I get a javascript error, which "Netfront" supposedly supports fully. You can even change the referrer info so that websites think you are using a desktop browser. I tried that, and it still hasn't worked.

I just bought a new PPC 6700 specifically for this reason. It uses Windows Mobile 5.0.

Haven't got it yet, but it should work fine.

I was at cingular and tried with a treo 650 and it let me login and see stats per campaign, but it said i couldnt go through campaigns because Java was disabled. I'm pretty sure all you need to do is go into the phone settings and turn java on. should work fine.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about a PDA designed for the PPC market.

I'd really like to know how your new pocket pc works with google adwords when you get it. How soon do you think you may know?

I have just bought an Orange SPV M5000. I want to be able to login to a certain web page with a username and password. The webpage requires that i have javascript enabled. My question is can i have javascript on Mobile Internet Explorer and where would i get it?

Not at the moment. I think you'll have to wait for the Netfront browser to be updated for WM5 before you see Java on any web pages (or possibly the opera browser if they ever get round to it...)

I used to be able to access Adwords on my Tmobile 6315 and the netfront borwser but after upgrading to the google login I get an error that there is not enough memory to load the page after it logs in....

Where do I find the Firefox or pda version?

Ok just got my PPC today. Waiting for the internet to be set up on Sprint. Gets setup tomorrow. I'm flying out to LA, so I'll try and post tomorrow if I have time.

Unbelievable. IE doesn't support Java... how stupid. Mozilla works too slow in its current build. It does however have terminal services. Which is actually faster because I have all the data cached in my Mozilla Browser at home.

I just logged on to my computer remotely and did everything via terminal services. Worked well IMO. The PPC6700 has a ton of networking features.
