I have just started using Google Adwords for the UK market and I have a couple of questions (My apologies if they have been asked before).

If I want to place an advert in the USA market do I have to signup again through www.google.com

How do view the USA competition as my IP address is UK based and all's I see in the UK competition.

you can target multiple countries in each campaign. So simply create a new campaign for the us, or add us to your current campaign.

Unfortunately if you ONLy target US in a campüaign, you will not be able to see your ads form the uk. In fact you will never be able to see your cokmpetition, even if your own ad is in th eus AND the uk.

You might try to use a US proxy, that could work but I havn't tested this.

Yes, to see your ads as if you were in the US, go to anonymiser.com and connect to google.com through them.

Yes, a US proxy works fine for seeing the web from the US perspective. A client of mine set one up for me using a Linux box and we change the port number from time to time.

Use the regional googles. I thought I'd posted this reply twice already but it seems to keep disapearing.

If you have the Google toolbar then page info/translate into English, gives US results
