They are supposed to bill me at x dollars. They billed at x times 280%. I would expect this over long weekends and stuff like that but very hard to deal with in any case. I normally am billed every 2-3 days and by holding it this long they risk running my credit card limit over the top with one billing.

i had the same experience, but my multiplier was approx 9X - unbelieveable! luckily i had the credit limit to accommodate the charge. if this occurred to many advertisers, i am sure a lot of them have temporarily suspended accounts because their daily charge limit was crossed.

google loses money from paused accounts too, so i am surprised that they have not been very proactive at making it easy to pay for adwords.

Same here the last month has gone very weird, I have been going 300% above my normal trigger level for billing and to be honest with you, I only got billed after entering some new credit card details (there wasnt nothing wrong with the old ones, and Google did not prompt me to do this!)...Now again I see it building up to the same level - STRANGE.
