Question about their new policy on renewing Premium Sponsor ad contracts

I wanted to ask if anyone could provide some insight on Google's change in Premium Sponsor Advertising. From what I understand from my account rep at Google, they will be switching their Premium Sponsor Ads to an Adwords type of platform in early 2004. They are requiring all current customers to renew by June 1, 2003 to keep their Premium ads campaigns. I recently received a renewal proposal from Google and they tripled my CPM from my current campaign. My rep indicated that they're increasing their pricing with all of their customers. I've been a customer of Google's Premium ads for the past year and a half and have never had a price increase.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'd would appreciate any feedback.

It's simple, they really, really want you gone as an Premium advertiser. The adwords program is more profitable. They are doing it to everyone from what I hear.
