Seeing regional ads outside a region

Hi everyone,

This is my first visit and first post in the Google Adwords arena, but, the way I see my business developing I think I'll be here more frequently in the future.

For some time now, I've been advertising in the US from the relative comfort of my apartment here in Madrid, Spain. Somewhere along the way, I discovered that by adding a parameter &gl=us to the end of the Google search string, I could see what my ads there looked like. Likewise, for a client advertising in the UK I could change the parameter to &gl=uk to see what was happening there.

I now have a slightly different problem.

I'm now doing advertising in specific regions in the US, and would like to see what those ads look like.

For example, I have one campaign only in the region defined as San Franciso-Oakland-San Jose in California.

Apart from phoning a buddy in Palo Alto, can anyone tell me how to see my ads live? Are there specific gl parameters for every region?

Any help, as always, very much appreciated.

This should work:
Use &gl=us to go to google, then click the "local" button at the top. There, you can type in your keywords, and which city you want to search for. If your geo-targeted campaign is being triggered, you should see the city/state name below your ad. Hope that helps.
