Anyone having Problem with Adwords?

No keywords displaying since Thursday Evening...

Hi all,
Sorry my first post had to be such a negative one! I have not seen any of my Adwords appearing since Thursday 18th August (no impressions or clicks reported!). I have 3 Google Accounts (personal, work, test account) and all of them have been hit with this problem.
Checked all the usual possibilities (budgets, disapproved Ads, inactive keywords etc.) and everything is fine...I mean nothing changed dramatically from the 17th to the 18th! Emailed Google but no reply...only 2 theories I can offer at the moment:
1) Google did some sort of system update that coincided with the dates above which may have screwed things up.
2) All 3 Google accounts are paid for by credit card - very unlikely this should affect things as the credit cards are in 3 different names as well with sufficent money to cover costs.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

Sorry just to add one more point - At least 3 people I know are experiencing the same problems...and none have had a reply from Google yet!

Same issues here...seems as though something happened after the 'upgrade' late last week. One campaign completely died on Friday. Resisting the impulse to raise cpc and will wait it out to see what transpires this week.

Has anybody received any feedback from Google on this? Reading through some other posts/forums, It looks this upgrade has really hit a lot of us hard.

BTW tried increasing CPC to silly levels just to see if I got any impressions....not a single one i'm afraid! :-(

I'm down about 90% TW vs. LW
G is not even using my daily ad budget $$'s -- something is drastically wrong.

I've literally had no impressions for 3 days now, If there is a system problem it would be nice for Google to make a statement on it or email Advertisers at the very least. Would be interesting to know if the big boys like Amazon etc. have been affected as well.

Did you try the 'Ads Diagnostic Tool' to see if you're ads are showing when the keyword is searched? If the ad isn't showing it gives you a reason why it isn't showing.

Tried it and it keeps coming back with 'You have no Ads that match the search term #*$!x' which obviously is not the case since the same Ads/Search terms have been running for months and months! Oh well another day goes by without revenue...

same as me. I call them up and supposedly under technical review - basically everyone who has more than 1 account is under investigation. Pretty AMAzing isn't it!

I'm seeing the same thing. the ad diagnostic tool tells me I have no matching keywords when I do.

the only good thing to come out of all this is the lesson it's taught me: diversify. I'm new to adwords and had set aside $4k for my first campaign. I've now reduced that to $1k - overture & friends are getting the rest.

The Ads Diagnostic Tool is broken. It will report that "red gizmo" is active, but if you look in the gizmo adgroup and look at the keyword, it's inactive.

I sent a bug report to GAW last Thurs about this. So far, it's still broken.

So we're into day 5 of no Adwords, still no word from Google on the subject....anybody tried setting up a new account and see if that works?

Okay a reply from GOOGLE! Their official line was my account was suspended due to the number of inaccurate display URLs I had in my account....hmmmmmmm....there were a couple but nothing to warrant taking the whole thing offline! What do you guys reckon? A case of passing the buck? I mean why suspend it the day there was a system release....sounds fishy to me! And why has my employers account gone dead at the same time when there has never been a problem once with display URLs?

I think they have an issue but they will never admit it.

I too had my account suddenly slowed on the big day. Emailed them and they said my ads are not "family safe" so it has been slowed.

But this issue was already resolved some time back and all was ok. So why the sudden change on that day?

We can only hope they will straighten things out soon. G still commands the most traffic so we can wait this out...

Hi cleverzman,

Had exactly the same problem since last Tuesday. Adwords finally got back to me saying account suspended for repeatedly violating the guidelines. Only 2 violations in 4 months ... hmm.

I had another account on my name which I just opened a while ago in a different currency, but never used (the campaigns were paused). Just noticed that one is now in-active too. This may support the theory they clamped down on people with multiple accounts.

Any suggestions on how to get passed this?

Hi Skorpia,

I've been 'charged' with having multiple Adwords account as well according to their reply. The thing I'm not sure how they have pinned 3 of them on me - one is registered to the company I work for and used solely for driving traffic to their website. One is my main account which I use for all my own personal activities and the third one similar to your second account - all campaigns paused and not touched in months. I read on their T & Cs that to terminate an account officially you have to confirm it in writing as just having all the campaigns paused is not sufficent...might be worth both of us doing it if multiple accounts is a reason/excuse for suspending our main accounts.

Still no word from Google on this one...interestingly the company Adwords account came back online yesterday with an email from Google saying it was under review by 'Adwords Specialists'. Hmmm almost 1 week to review 100 odd keywords eh?
