Can you look up Adwords ad positions with the API?

Someone told me you can't, but it seems like that would be a significant omission.
I'm referring to the new Adwords API, not the original API (which I'm pretty sure could not).

yup and you can get it too two decimal places like 2.39 rather than 2.4

You could run a report on the API and get this position data.

To clarify, I mean the CURRENT position, not the HISTORICAL position.

You can't apply a CURRENT position as it's dynamic. I'd suggest getting a very short term historic report and using that as the likely current average position.

So there's no Google-sanctioned way to check current Adwords position, like there is on organic SERPs with the Google API?
