Hi,

I have signed up for adwords about 2 days ago at 0.20p per click on a keyword with an average position of 9.2
My add still isnt showing up on the page, is the adwords out of service or something?
I have tried to contact google without success.
Anyone?

Hi Bekyed, you said you signed up two days ago - usually you set up your ads/keywords then you get an e-mail from Google with a link to verify your account and provide them with a credit card for billing - if you don't do this step it doesn't start...

Aside from that - Have you logged in and double checked your daily budget, and other settings?

Hello Lisa,

yea did that, received an email, put in card details and nothing showing at all.
Shall I start again or wait?
Have i missed an activation button or something?
Also on positions does ave pos 9.2 mean on the first page?

Thanks.

9 should be on the second page of results.

If you still don't see your ad, try logging into your account and double check the campaign settings: like target language, target country, your daily budget, and distribution preferences...

If there's a problem with an ad or campaign you should see a note in red... For instance if a campaign is paused it will have paused in red next to the link...

Everything seems right on that score.
Still nothing.

It might be worth increasing your maximum bid for a day or 2. That way your ad will move further up, and the further up it moves, the more clicks it gets, the more clicks it gets, the further up it moves. Then once you have secured a good CTR reduce your bid back to what you want to pay.

I found this out the hard way. Your ads are being shown, they are just not shown for every search. If you increase your daily expenditure as previously suggested, you'll see your ads more often.
