A click bank HOP link looks like: AffiliateClickbankID.ParentCompanyClickbankID.hop.clickbank.net

The final destination page for the hoplink after it is clicked on is: www.ParentCompnayDomainName.com

Note that ParentCompanyDomainName is not the same as ParentCompanyClickbankID.

How does this work when you are setting up an ad with Adwords? Is a ClickBank hoplink considered a redirect? What should the display URL be and what should the destination URL be? As far as I can see, the destination URL must have to be the hoplink that is the only way I know of the get credit for the referral. The problem I foresee is that the destination URL is not really the final destination, because the hoplink is a tracking device for ClickBank that routes the user through their system to pick up the affiliate ID for the referral and then directs them to the parent companies website.

Is it ok to use a hoplink as the destination URL and then show the parent company domain as the display URL even though they do not agree with each other?

You would use the hoplink as your destination url,
but the display url must be the merchants domain
that the visitor actually ends up at. There is no
problem with doing this, the destination and display
url do not have to be the same, you can use redirects,
but the display url must show the url that the visitor
will actually end up at.

In that case, I think that I am going to start making my own landing pages. What are some things to consider when making landing pages? Do landing pages work, or should I take a mini-site aproach instead? Should I offer a few related product links to exit my landing pages or only one?
