Any idea where you stand?
the beauty with online PPC spend is that you can monitor every penny spent (apart from fraud etc).
In our case we always start with a "playing" figure and turn on the taps for a few days to see what our ROI is, along with best performing keywords for conversions, and these usually are NOT the most popular phrases.
Having never really done any CPA or ROI analysis in offline businesses, so can NOT really advise on that point.
However a tracking solution is essential to find out whats going on with your campaign.

I have more or less all the tools to track the results. The results at google itself, then a system to track the visitors coming through the AdWords, and something to see how many people subscribed to the newsletter, used the contact form, placed orders etc...
I was just wondering if I am going the right way. When we sell through the affiliate system, we have to pay about 10% in total to the affiliates, so I just took that number to start with and allow this cost per 1 order (CPO).
Of course if I can get more orders for less money, I would be more happy.
I somehow have no idea with what CTR, CPO etc, others here are fighting with, so I can't actually judge if our campaign is going to be successful. I can only say if it works out for us, but not sure if there are some experience values from others...
