Hello,
I always have 4 or more sales tracked by Google conversion Tracking Tool than the actual sales reported by my clickbank account!
Can you Please tell me what am I doing wrong?
I am afraid I am loosing somes commissions!

Where do you have the tracking code? Is it possible for the user to back out before the sale is totally complete? Or is your tracking code on a "thanks for shopping" page after the sale is final?

If its in a thank you page and there is no way for the user to get back than I don't know what to tell you. Google conversion tracking and my traffic/sales data always matches up. BOL

This gets to the issue of how tracking occurs.

Google counts a conversion when someone goes from google to a site and converts.

Google counts a transaction when someone converts within 30 days of clicking on an ad (and this can be multiple for the same person).

Some affiliate programs give credit to the first cookie placed on a computer.

Some affiliate programs give credit to the last cookie placed on a computer.

Therefore, if you're using an affiliate program that counts a conversion as the first cookie on a computer, and someone goes from your AdWords ad to a site and converts, you'll see a conversion in your adwords account, but you won't get the affiliate credit for the sale.

Are you an affiliate or the vendor with Clickbank? I
have had some vendors add my tracking code to their
thank you page with Clickbank, and noticed than when they put
everyone's tracking code on the same thank you page,
that Google will always show more conversions than I
actually have. I think this is because if they go
through my ad first but do not buy, and then go
through another affiliates link and buys, it still
shows as a conversion in my Google stats. I have had
a few merchants set up a separate thank you page just
for me that doesn't have everyone else's tracking code
on the same page, and then I never have more sales
showing in my Google stats than what I actually have
from Clickbank.
