Display URL vs. Destination URL

Need Info on Display URL

My account was suspended because of inaccurate Display URLs. So I e-mail Google telling them that I have fixed all my URL and they are according to their guidlines. They re-activated my acount after that e-mail and told me that not to re-submit an ad that goes against their guidlines...again I agree. But when it got activated I got a disapproved ad saying that "Display URL not working" So I checked it and it was working, the exact URL I had in the Display URL. But as soon as I did that, they stopped all my ads. Now my question is, Did I do anything wrong by re-submitting the same URL, cause it works, dunno why they stopped that ad by saying it doesn't work? Also, for my Topic question, whats the difference now between Display URL and Destination URL? I know I'm an affiliate and I put my affiliate link in the Destination URL. It seems that you have to have both the same. Any Comments would be great! and Thanks for reading.

Yes the display URL has to be from the same domain as the destination URL in my experience, even when you own both domains :(

The display url is the one that is displayed along with your ad and the destination url is where the user is landed when he clicks the ad.

Cool, thanks for the comments. I guess I better let Google do what they want of me. I hope they start my ads up again.:) I wish google would answer e-mails over the weekend....Hate having to wait over the weekend.

Your display url must match your destination url.
So if your visitors from Adwords are landing at
abc.com, then you must use abc.com as the display
url in your ad.

I thought there was an exception to affiliate programs that use redirection URL's (such as "commission junction"). I thought you could use your redirected affiliate destination URL but still display the actual URL for the website you are promoting.

you can use redirects but in the final end once all the redirects are done you must end up on your display URL. if they wont allow you request an exception.. works everytime.

You can use a redirect url, I do myself, but I think
your display url still has to match the domain
that your visitor ends up at. You would use the
redirect url as your destination url, but your
display url should still be the same as the page
your visitor ends at.

I have a site aaa.com and also own a domain bbb.com (totally unrelated) that points to a directory on aaa.com/bbb/ in the adds I use bbb.com as the shown url and aaa.com/bbb/as the destination.
Found no problems with AW.
