Start a second Adwords account?

Any other way to do this?

I have good luck with an item that is sold by several companies. I would like to sell for both buy using the same keywords.

If I open a second account with Google Adwords and in that second account I advertise the other company with the same keywords is there any downside of doing this?

I figure doing this I may have two ads showing everytime a search is done on my keywords.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

I don't think having 2 accounts is Kosher with Google. I advise caution.

Wifes name, wifes credit card, wifes email address, How would they know?

To ad to that question, suppose I have so many keywords (that are productive) that I reach the maximum amount and get the warning that I am reaching the maximum? Can I then have a second account so I can continue to sell more products?

I wonder to what degree we owe the increase of opacity and difficulty in using Adwords to affiliate marketers choking up the system by "gaming" it?

I wonder how much "algo tax" our business is required to pay in terms of increased CPC due to the new AD Text CTR pricing formula? Especially considering that the new formula is no doubt an attempt by Google to un-game the gamers, no?

I wonder how much such activity has cost me?

I then wonder how it can be that I am asked to help such efforts?

You can very well have as many adword accounts as you like , there are valid business reasons for multiple accounts and i dont think google has a problem!.

But if you try to use multiple accounts to dominate a single keyword space you may get caught sooner or later

"Google maintains a high standard for our user experience and the quality of our advertising. In order to preserve the quality and diversity of ads running on Google, we don't allow advertisers or affiliates to have any of the following:

*Ads across multiple accounts for the same or similar businesses.
*Ads across multiple accounts triggered by the same or similar keywords."

I think you can find a way to open the 2nd account.
But what URLs will you have in the 2nd? If you don't have different URLs, there's no use in having two accounts with the same KWs.

Google can link multiple accounts. This linking pulls the CTRs for keywords between the accounts. It'll also only show one ad per search, even if the same keyword appears in multiple linked accounts.

You have to write (or talk to your rep), and make a case why you need multiple linked accounts (i.e. too many keywords for a single account).

I would have a second company i am selling for in the secodn account? Kind of like selling "motorcycles". One account would sell for Honda and the other Harley but be using many of the same keywords.

If the sites are totally diferent that you shouldn't have a problem, I think. If they are similar it may be a TOS violation.

google doesn't stop more than 2 affiliates promoting one site on the same keywords. As long as your acc details are different. I think you can find more than one way around this.

Nyet,

Pardon my ignorance, but these are new terms for me --"gaming", "affiliate marketers choking up the system"?

Can you elaborate?

Using a second account so that you can have 2 ads for the same products on the same search page. (why not set up 8 accounts and corner the market).

It is not good for the marketplace. It is just speculation on my part but I suspect G's increased rules and ad text CTR factoring in the pricing have to do with "weeding out" the gaming of the system.

Adwords is about more than just affliate marketing.

I wrote to Adwords several days ago, asking for opening a new account, for two totally different URL and totally different industry. No luck.

It is possible to get a 2nd account to advertise the same keywords. Read this thread on how it can be done:
