Conversion Tracking Problem

Click on my Overture ad, and "Google Site Stats - send feedback" pops up

I tested my conversion tracking today. I clicked on a Google Ad Word ad of mine and placed an order. "Google Site Stats - send feedback" shows on my landing page so everything seems to look good.

Then the problem I went to Yahoo and typed in a phrase and I saw my ad and clicked on it, placed an order and "Google Site Stats - send feedback" STILL shows up.

Should that only show up when coming from Google? Now I think Google is going to show a conversion from my Overture ad.

Once you clicked on your Google ad it put a cookie
on your cookie, so I think this will show up until
either your cookie expires or your delete the cookie.
If a visitor clicks on your Overture ad without
going through your Adwords ad first, they will not
have the Google cookie and it will not show as a
conversion. However, if a visitor does click on your
google ad and does not purchase, and then later
clicks on your Adwords ad and they still have the
cookie on their computer, then it will show as a
conversion.

I think if you use the cross-site tracking that Adwords now offers for your Overture ads, it will set a different cookie when someone clicks on those ads. Then you will see that conversion tracked separately from your Adwords conversions.

does the 1st example end up showing up as 2 conversions even though the 1st one was the only 'real' conversion. Thanks.
