(anyone know how to get onboard this class-action suit?)
Here's mostly why I am posting.
I am deeply disappointed in Google Ads's failures - most of which seem intentional.
Anyone try calling their (once great) tech support number recently? It is gone. Right, covid caused it. Covid is mostly over. Will it ever come back? Their copious references to it on their website do not seem to have changed - and "chat" support is mostly useless. It seems everyone there is interested in upselling instead of actually solving any problems.
With 170+ countries blocked (PMAX) I am still paying for hundreds of clicks from those exact blocked countries. And there is NO WAY they are Googling for what our site is selling, even remotely.
Of course, most visits register as 00:00:00 which generally tells me this traffic is bogus.
I do not wish to get ANY traffic or business or to spend for "targeted" advertising in the countries of Bangladesh, Algeria, Iran, Pakistan, India, etc.
Presently after complaining for well more than a week, seeking a refund - and more importantly a real fix -- Google has gone silent.
They also decline that there is any way I can speak with a manager, boss or supervisor, or escalate a case in any way.
This strains credulity.
Plus, of course, some 90+ percentage of some 1500 clicks from PMAX (yesterday) do not show up in Google Analytics 3 so I have NO idea where they came from, other than I paid for them and I should have a right to see what I am paying for. (Can't stand GA4 so at least they delayed killing 3 off for a while yet...)
PMAX is off (again) and will remains so until I get my refunds - and that I don't have to pay for clicks outside of my target area.
The only reason I have a "rep" on this matter is one of their newly-minted "Account Strategists" called me up and told me they would increase quality traffic to my website through Google Ads.
This young woman's knowledge of internet marketing - or of most of Google Ads - is truly abysmal.
I reported that most of the traffic we used to get from Google Advertising had stopped, right about the time we were forced to go to Responsive Ads.
She said "no problem - we'll get that fixed right away" and she keeps promising that after we do another thing with PMAX that everything will work fine. She sold - I bought, believing the promise.
She truly (verbally) promised this would work - so I bought in. Lotta good that did me.
Like I said above, anyone know how to get aboard any similar class-action suits?
