Adwords On A Copied Website!

Found our own Ad on a scrapped version of our own site?

In a random search of keywords specific to our branding and copyrights we found a link to a website that had copied our pages and was displaying adSense ads. Our own adwords ad was in first place! Anyone else ever see this? We reported it on the Adsense feedback link but just wondering if anyone else has successfully dealt with this before?

Would you say it's an AdSense issue or AdWords issue?

Neither, I'd say that its a copyright issue.
And the gossip is that neither Google Adsense nor Adwords cares about it. There was a similar question in the last couple of days

yes i have seen it, though i didnt know what it was back then. I wasnt sure whether it was a direct scrape from our site, google serps, or another content page - but it was our copy in the result

Google's DCMA Policy:
[google.com...]

I'd start there.

Thanks, we'll look at the DCMA process.

neither Google Adsense nor Adwords cares about it

I would hope that is not the case. They should care about the quality of partners participating on both programs. I can't see them preventing this sort of thing but I would think they would take reasonable action against the offending website or webmaster. Plagiarizing content is one thing but scrapping an identical copy of a website with the parent company name and copyrights still published is blatantly criminal.

If a questionable webmaster can scrap an entire page of content to spawn industry and keyword specific AdSense ads, can they really be trusted with delivering real traffic or clicks?
