I am a standard access user of our G-Ads account since 2017. I look after the account on a day to day basis.

My ultimate boss is an admin access level user.

We also have two managers who I want to remove as we don't work with them anymore.
My standard access level does not have the authority to remove a manager.

Can an admin access user remove a manager?

Perhaps more importantly, what is the difference between a manager and an admin access level user?

The account with the campaigns, call that a Child.

A Manager Account (formerly called an MCC) is a Parent Account.
The Manager Account does not have campaigns in it, it has a list of the Child Accounts.

Please re-ask your question, but each time you ask about a User / Manager / Admin, clarify if each is in the Parent or Child accont.

:-)

Hi RhinoFish, thank you for your post.

So it seems I am responsible for the child account, that runs the campaigns. I and my ultimate boss are users, he is an admin user.

We have 2 managers - who I would like to remove. Do we have to have a manager? Can an Admin user remove a Manager?

Or do I, can I, establish a new manager, and then delete the old managers?

You do not have to have a Manager account linked to your Google Ads account, it is optional.
Further, you can have more than one Manager tied into your account.

Yes, an Admin user can remove a Manager account.

How to is here, see "To unlink an account from the individual Google Ads account:"

Hi RhinoFish thank you for your response, am elbows deep in a new site at the moment so I will have to come back to this sometime later. Your advice has shown me how I can proceed though so thank you. I plan to log in as the admin user and remove the two managers.
