Yesterday I was launching a new Adwords campaign and I noticed that the "Your number of keywords reached unmanageable size" message came up much sooner than usual. I was able to load at most half of the previous max.

At the same time I noticed some changes to the Adwords Web UI, for example if a keyword that Google finds unacceptable is detected, they now automatically remove it from the list and offer to resubmit.

Has anybody else noticed this phenomenon?

I saw the same - drives me crazy
I should be able to generate a billion keywords as long as I can fund it

This started for me in mid February. Although, I hadn't added any large # of keywords, all of a sudden one day I see the message "The keywords in your account are nearing an unmanageable size".

When I hit 50,000 keywords for the entire campaign, I could not add or change any keywords until I deleted some. The 50K does not apply to everyone since some people here said they have more than that.

AdWords Support was no help, just sent me something pasted out of the "Help". I do not know if the allowable amount is based on your spending, CTR or what.

This is unforuntate because I have not simply uploaded the dictionary. All my keywords have been entered by hand to describe a vast variety of different widgets that I sell.

Perhaps if you qualified for the silly hat, you are allowed more.
