I already limit my Google Ads by only having them on in office hours and not at all at weekends. But now I am wondering if there could be a way of just turning them off for the rest of the day if I have met my targets.

I would want to turn it off in such a way that when I turned them on again, the next day, all the individual settings, bid amounts, key word and KW types etc were retained.

Is there a way to do this?

Hi highdelll Automated rules look interesting but I really just want to switch them off myself when I feel right and then turn them on again the next day.

OK. I guess I'm not following then. Why not select what ads, adgroups, or campaigns you want to stop and pause them? Maybe set up an automated rule to unpause them in the AM

Hi highdell, I need to be sure that pausing and unpausing will leave all other settings intact. I don't want words I have deleted coming back or bids I have adjusted reverting to something else etc etc ..

Pausing does just what the name says. It changes nothing except from being able to run and to not (and vice-versa)

Going to do a test this afternoon and tomorrow, see how practical it is.

Just to update the thread, pausing is indeed ideal for what I wanted. As it happens I have only done it a few times but it is good that I can whenever I feel the need.
