PPC to Google Search Results or Google Shopping for a Web Retailer?

Which would yield better results for a UK watch online retailer?

We're considering marketing a small UK online retailer of mid-range watches on Google.

The PPC budget is relatively limited.

Would it be better to PPC to Google's search results, Google Shopping, or, despite it obviously being more work, should we try both?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

GShop is price sensitive, if you're a price leader, lean that way.
GSearch allows you to state what differentiates you, chase that harder if you're unique.

And, if you're neither price competitive or unique, well, you're just screwed.
Spend it on beer.
