Are app clicks mostly fraud?

I hope this is not a duplicate, but I just lost a few dozen dollars on obviously bogus traffic from Android Apps, which has all of the characteristics of fraudulent traffic, not only the conversion rate is ZERO but traffic comes from some "stupid" apps (e.g. toddler type games) the users of which can never be legitimately interested in what I am advertising.

I tried many ways to ban traffic from Android apps, but it seems the easiest solution is to ban mobile traffic altogether because apparently Google is making it so easy for you to be ripped off by these App spammers.

Now I understand why some people have been shouting that you can make a lot of money on Android apps. Just buy any app about anything and buy bogus clicks from spammers, Google will correct some 10% of it and you'll keep the difference, a piece of cake really.

Are app clicks mostly fraud? No, not at all. You may have been hit with click-fraud but I see lots of valid conversions resulting from app traffic.

Keep an eye on your raw server access logs and block the known offenders.
