I am having hell with Google Adwords. I have joined this group for some advice on how I can get a problem resolved.
I admit when I joined google adwords, I had no idea what I was doing and had to take their guidance. I received a huge bill for a month of ads. After an investigation, they say I had been set up for a broad match. I offer very few products and therefore, this was totally the wrong match for me.
This happened in March this year. The broad match was picking up words such as Widget Doctor, Asda Widget Doctor and many other non-services that I will never offer. I offer professional widget and sprocket cleaning and have never have or ever used these machines. Because of the broad match, anyone that clicked on my page would have quickly clicked off as I was not offering from what they wanted.
I received no calls, no contact form replies. Only a huge bill. I have been in touch with google advisors disputing this bill. The service is absolutely dreadful. I am told time and again that I will get a call back. I never do. I was told to write to google legal notices in May. I did that and no reply received.
Seeking help from google support staff or calling them is a waste of time. I need to escalate this. Anyone got any advice? I refuse to pay this huge bill as I feel it is so unfair. However, all google staff are doing is saying the charges will stand and there is nothing them personally can do. It is driving me crazy. Thanks Tom
