From adwords ad group to organic seo

Hello,

More I look into adwords more it seems to be a hole with no end... And then I thought :

+ What would happen if I convert a working ad group to a simple but optimized webpage, the goal being to place my organic results in the same search results as keywords I used to pay for ?
+ Would I lose trafic or conversions compared to the google ad ?

Don't be too hard with me, I am new in the seo world and full of misconceptions for sure !

Depending upon how difficult it is to rank for whatever key phrase you are talking about, your conversions would only be the same if the landing pages were the same (all other variables aside). You can maybe try sending paid traffic to a page as you are working on SEO for it. Theoretically, if you are trying to get traffic for the same exact queries paid vs. organic shouldn't matter if all other variables match.
