I have a client who depends heavily on web leads for their brick and mortar business. We get a decent amount of leads from organic seo. However, we still need to fill the gap.
The industry is dominated by catalogs etc who run a pay per lead model. However, that industry has taken some major turns and the pay per lead was not giving us a good ROI.
The CEO and I were running our own adwords campaign. We were getting about 4 or 5 leads per week. However, managing that was taking a lot of his limited time.
We signed up for a service that was essentially a pay per click reseller. Our initial experience was bad in that their reporting was showing results where the map was showing one state, the location of the lead another and the ip was on another continent.. They finally fixed that.
We've been with them for 3 months and the results are dismal especially compared to what the CEO and I were getting.
QUESTION - the reseller said that we should not be running our own adwords campaign. That is on hold now. However, I am considering turning that back on. I realize that we would be competing against ourselves to some extent but this is a highly competitive industry. So, I'm not sure it would be that big of an issue. Is there any problem with a PPC reseller running an adwords campaign while we restart our adwords campaign?
thanks
