Robots hitting Google ad URLs

This morning, I've had a bunch of hits on my Google ad URLs (URLs with reference tags I use in my AdWords ads) from what looks like a spider of some sort. It only requests the main URL, not the associated image and CSS files. It doesn't send any referer. And it's hit almost all of my AdWords reference URLs. It claims to be IE 6 in the user agent string, but I'm fairly sure that's bogus. The IP is 210.18.104.58, which belongs to a company in India.

This doesn't appear to have actually caused clicks to be charged by Google, so it's not that big of a deal. I guess they're just grabbing URLs from the AdWords results and spidering them directly. But it is slightly annoying because it screws up my own statistics on which ads have been clicked.

Do the rest of you see this kind of thing much? Any idea what they're trying to get at? Is it just an email address harvester, or something else?

Same thing happening on my end and also from India. I didn't worry about it because they weren't apparently clicking on my adwords ads even if they were using my adwords URLs.

A new one on me, sch9171 and migriffin. But I'll certainly do some exploring.

I recently came across a site from India which purports to sell Adsense Clicks. They claim of course that they send you 'real traffic', until the alotted amount of clicks is achieved.

I've been having a hard time making money with Adwords, and now i'm wondering if it's borderline criminal sites like those that are causing my ads to be clicked by robots or some poor people in a call center in india, making no sales conversions.

AWAdvisor, maybe you know of this site and others like it already, but could you please take all necessary steps to ensure that dishonest Adsense publishers can not use the services of that website and others like it to make money at my expense! :)

Please, no one except AWAdvisor sticky me for URL you ain't gonna burn up my Visa any more you pirates!
