It says people are accessing pages like this on my site:

example.com/do/Qaak/tttLOAwN8jZaAxAi_N2iNaLxjX/
example.com/do/z__k/oooL6RdN8jZaReRY_g2igaLejX/
example.com/secure.php?u=tfjdaUEyr38xuYedL1wtTt8oBIWsQ9zhSIkZlfFZ&b=5

when I go to them, there is nothing there (custom 404 page with no analytics code in it).

It's definitely not my site generating them. What's going on?

+could be a search engine looking at your 404 page. check the referring site / domain in Analytics.

+look like session ids, if you login to your site (if that exists), does it append a session id?

Do you have Analytics code on your 404 page? If not, you'll need another explanation.

Anyway, never mind the analytics. Pull up a random day of raw logs and see what they say.

No. My site doesn't add anything random like a session id to the URl. All URls on the site are fixed and named.

I had something similar on my site, which is static html. All to the same url with a long string appended. Folks think it's a blog comment spambot run by an idiot. Makes sense to me.
