Control Which Products In Product Listing Ads?

Hi there, Everyone:

We have about 200 plus products in our Merchant Products data feed, but we really only want to show about 6 top selling ones.

Because they all have the same product_type I don't know if I can use filters to show only certain products.

Is this the best way to limit the products that will be shown:

- Copy the regular data feed on to my computer
- remove the products that I don't want to show up in product listing ads
- upload this as a SEPARATE data feed with a different name
- Use this separate data feed as an extension

Or is there some other way?

BONUS QUESTION:

If I want different max cost per click for different products, do I need to set that at the campaign level? (Or is there a way to set cost per click at the Ad level for Product Listing Ads?)

UPDATE: It looks like there are fields that you can add to your google product feeds that can prevent products from being shown in the product listing ads.

It appears that PLAs are not all that popular yet - possibly because it is so hard to "target" them, since you can't assign them to keywords the way that regular text ads can be assigned.
