Editing Ads Deletes them?

Hi there, Everyone:

I had some display ads that were Disapproved by google because they said the landing page was unreachable (apparently they tried to access them when our hosting company's servers were down for an afternoon).

I just went in and edited those ads slightly by changing the landing page URL (all I did was removed a query string parameter, taking out ?AFFIL=google which helps me track things in my logs).

After saving them, it now says the ads are deleted.

Is that supposed to happen?

Also, what are you supposed to do if google Disapproves your ads when your server is down for a prolonged period of time?

Editing will always delete the existing ad and replace it with the new one.

if your server is down, then resubmit the ads when things are back to normal.

Note that even ads that were previously approved and active can change to disapproved if AdWords spots an outage.

I will have to figure out how to resubmit them.

To resubmit an ad means to change it. At least I have not found a way to submit an ad without making a slight change.
