In an interview, Google reveals how it's working on new and better ways to measure ad performance. It is worth a read, imho, especially if you use Google for advertising.

Q: It feels like Google is being put into a walled garden.

Mohan: I wouldn’t put it that way. Google from its earliest days has been about the open Web. It’s a core tenet.


I wish they'd free up some more space on page one of serps because even #1 is below the fold far too often, imo. The more ads I see the less inclined I am to click.
