Product Listing Ads Question (or two)

Hi there, Everyone:

I'm having a hard time getting the targets for my product listing ads to "validate."

I upload my datafeed to google Merchant Center and target based on the adwords_label field, but it says "This target does not match any products in your Google Merchant Center feed."

Is it because I just uploaded the datafeed too recently? In GMC, when I look at the Products tab of the datafeed, under the Product Ads column, it just has little oragne circles instead of green check marks.

Does that mean I have to wait for google?

(On a side note: Google says to update your MGC datafeed often. But if you do that, then won't your product listing ads stop running every time you update your data feed?)

after the initial delay, subsequent over-writing uploads are MUCH, MUCH faster, and while their short wait / review period (hours versus weeks) is transpiring, the previous feed stays live.

so you're just getting the initial squeeze.

Another Question:

I just set up Product Listing Ads.

When setting it up with targets, google said:

Your campaign settings show that you want to run text ads on search pages. You'll need to add keywords for your ads to run.

But prior to that, google had said:

Your keywords do not apply to product listing ads, which require product targets instead.

So do I need to set up keywords for product listing ads or not? If not, then how do I get google to run those ads? (I already have the targets from my google merchant feed set up).

BTW: After I set up keywords for the product listing ad, the quality scores were TERRIBLE. They were all 1/10 or 2/10 even though the keywords were the exact title of the product.
