Queston is above.
Many boss see the groups or campaigns' CTR but ignore keywords' CTR.
We use the content search option, and find the Impression very high, so the CTR is very low.

Why does the content search's impression add on? why not separate?

You can see the content impressions and clicks seperate at adgroup level and you can make reports which in or exclude content search for your boss.

Does someone know what you pay for a click from a content page?

I know that Google works with the Smart pricing Technologie.

Is the price based on the max cpc you have set for an ad-group or the Max CPXC from an individual keyword in a adgroup?

And if so and I do want content clicks but I don't want to pay as much for a click as I do for a normal click I could use a verry low ad group Max CPC and set de individual keywords max CPC higher..

Is this ghood thinking?

Content pricing is based on adgroup max cpc. Google has some discounting method but I have not seen that work for our campaigns yet.

Aimee,

Every thought about running a search report for you boss and handing him those numbers?

Then run a 2nd report for search & content or just content and then explaining him the difference in impressions & CTR?

Content pricing is based on adgroup max cpc. ~Robsp

I'm fairly sure that's not the case. When I first saw that, I thought "Ah-ha! That's how I can make separate bids for content versus search!" But then I checked my account and noticed one AdGroup where my Max CPC is $0.05 but most keywords are higher. My Content CPC for that AdGroup is $0.25. If it were based on the AdGroup Max CPC, it would have been $0.05 (or less if some were discounted).

so than Google chooses the keyword which fittes the best to the content of the content page?

If this is true why doesn't AW gives us the Impressions and clicks from content pages on Keyword level instead of group level?
