How do I create ads for non-gambling site

..that Google says is gambling?

I guess it's a matter of semantics. I run a site called <snip> that's been around for a few years. It's a 'fake betting' site. You can bet on real games with real odds. There's no money involved and no affiliation with gambling sites.

While my site isn't gambling, driving by from the side of the road one could easily say 'I am not so sure'.

I was running adwords last year but then voluntarily suspended it. I really had to get creative with the ad wording and even then it didn't accurately reflect what my site was about. I have been working to get adwords back on but I am having a really tough time getting ads approved (maybe the filter has stiffened a bit?).

Can anyone think of any options for me? Should I bother with adwords or look elsewhere?

You can ask for an exception, and explain what you're doing. I have no idea if they'd be okay with it, but it's worth asking. But if that doesn't work, then I guess I'd try Facebook ads.

(Positioning it as a "game" might help too, don't know)
