QS doesn't agree with QS

Download vs Visual Interface issue

Just spent over an hour thrilling over all the 9's in my QS.

Then when I finally dug in to look close, it seems that what GA downloads is very different than what it shows in the standard visual interface.

In the download, I have several 9's. Hooray? (NOT!)

When I look at what I see on screen, those same keywords show only a QS of 4.

To filter out user error, I did this a couple of times and every time it is shows the same difference.

So I guess I don't really care about analyzing QS today.

Oh AWA, where have you gone?

Could just be a reporting bug. Have you historically had a high QS on these keywords?

not historical high QS there, no.

Yes, likely to be a reporting error.

Do I want to try to call it in? No.

I asked about that once, was told some weird tale about servers syncing. But I was just talking about a one point difference - yours sounds like a bug. Believe the UI.

thanks.

This makes it extra fun to try to do a QS delta report or any other analysis on QS over time.

I might as well be looking at Page rank.

someone else said the same thing, 1-3 months ago here - might look back through the threads in this forum.

also, check the date ranges you're looking at. yep, qs should be latest, not historical, but check this anyhow, databases don't have brains. :-)

and, see what the adwords editor says, a 3rd method might help you find the cause of the discrepancy.

They had some kind of issue on Monday, maybe that affected it?

22hrs ago @adwords on twitter says:
Yesterday's stats issue has been resolved, so your campaign numbers should look normal for all date ranges.

Things seem a bit more stable today - but other than checking in with this, how would anyone know?

ps - Thanks for the heads up on the twitter.

Why for gosh sake don't they post here?

tell me about it.

(well, actually no need, that's just an expression where I come from...)

but while we are at it, it would be interesting for folks to summarize it a bit here for the community if you have a few minutes between excel sheets.
