Running a campaign on AdSENSE

Can someone please tell me how to run my ads on adsense sites? I cannot seem to figure out how to do this when creating a campaign. I am new to adsense, and ANY help would be appreciated. I can't seem to figure out how to get my ads to run on adsense, and there seems to be no confirmation that they are.

You want to run on the Display Network of AdWords (AdSense is the program for publishers) and it does take a while to get approved - even up to a couple weeks. So sit tight.
