My traffic is much lower or so it seems right now. But so are my costs. Anyone think that the traffic will be lower do to the lack of affiliate fraud clicks?

I guess that is a side effect of this new policy. Affiliates won't be clicking other's ads, it will keep their competitor there forever. Unless of course they resigned to not showing their ad and want to cost them as much as possible. SO I guess if your competitors give up you may be in for it. Maybe in a week or so.

Now that it has had a few days. Costs are dropping for me. They had ramped way up last week. Still higher then normal.

My first post of lower clicks was caused by changing ads and losing the search partners.

Yesterday , Clicks slightly down. ROI much better.

Today clicks way up, ROI much worse.

Well just have to see over the next few weeks.

I too am witnessing less impressions and # of clicks--CTR is similar though. Increasing CPC and daily budget has not helped increase my impressions.

Any other sugesstions/thoughts?

one campaign that consistently had about 2000 impressions/day spiked at 3.200 on 12th and 13th and dropped to 26 impressions yesterday.
Clicks are down from about 40-50 (peak 64 on 13th) to 0.

I haven't changed my ad yet, so the aff descriptor is still showing. any changes I do to the ad put my campaign into manual review mode and I can wait a few days again to have my ads being show.
So, I live with the currently bad performance and wait fro better times and explore different waysto get more out of adwords.

There is no doubt that they got more money out of us in the short term on this change. I just hope my average cpc gets back to where it was.

I've had my best campaign slowed. None of the keywords are marked as such but the diagnostic tool states low performing KWs are to blaim.

I'm going to recreate the campaign from scratch and see what happens.

Before that...
My clicks have been the same but conversion from landing page to merchant is way down.

Yeah, it's sooo strange to see impressions drop like this. I also used the diagnostic tool and half the time it says that it's slowed (although all the keywords have "normal" status next to them and this particular KW had a 1.3% CTR before being "slowed..."

or...the tool says Google is experiencing tech difficulties...

I wrote them, but have not gotten a response back yet.

I wonder how many of our clicks will be coming from other affiliates just clicking on our links to see how we are making landing pages.

Just a quick post to mention that the Ads Diagnostic Tool has not yet been updated to reflect 'ads not shown' reasons pertaining to the Affiliate Policy Change. This'll be happening soon, but is not yet in place.

Wouldn't it have been wiser to have the tools that help advertisers gauge their success in place before making a major conversion?

Well I've not noticed any difference whatsoever in my area after the change. Had only 1 competitor before, we're both affiliates, merchant is obviously too big to know/care much about ppc - and still there are just the two of us, same url, although his display url is different to the actual one. Thought that maybe he would drop off because of this but no, doesn't make much difference really just wondering when/if they are going to enforce their new rules properly. UK based.

Getting way more clicks on the same conversion. I assume people who are gone are out there running around trying to figure out why.
